Gingerbread Loaf

Equagold Gingerbread Loaf


2 cups of flour
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp Equagold European Mixed Spice ( Speculaas)
1 cup of warm milk
1 tsp baking soda
125 g butter
1 tbsp golden syrup
1/4 cup Equagold Glace Ginger


Mix the flour, sugar and spices together
Melt the butter, golden syrup and milk together in a small pot
Stir in the baking soda
Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the melted butter mixture
Stir in the Glace ginger
Pour into a well greased loaf tin and bake for 1 hour at 160 degrees C
Test to make sure the skewer comes out clean
Leave to cool in the tin, then remove
